There were more media in attendance than protestors, and it was so staged and artificial that all the media wanted to do was get a few pics and get out of there before Starbucks closed.
From across the street, two brave counter protestors defied the mindless group think and easily shouted down the listless and pathetic rent-a-mob, employing the inspiriational slogan “ACORN Sucks” and saying “Lunch” whenever the drones chanted “What Do We Want?”. This served to dramatically expose the lameness of the protest and was much appreciated by both the police and the media as a respite from the mind-numbing tedium of the proceedings.
This event shows the utter weakness of ACORN. They have no real message, their events are highly scripted, and only a few of the least sub-literate among them are designated to speak to the media. They are therefore EASILY counter protested, and intelligent persons with a passion to expose ACORN can easily dominate the news coverage of these protests if they show up at all.
